Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Polaris RANGER

Since 1998, Polaris has been the leader in side-by-side vehicles through the introduction of the first RANGER model, a 6×6 that forever changed the category. Over the subsequent 20 years, the RANGER has remained a flagship model for Polaris, with constant innovation and the gold standard for workhorse SxS vehicles.

This year, Polaris is celebrating 20 years of the world’s top selling utility side-by-side. To pay tribute to the past and present, Polaris is calling upon RANGER owners to share their stories for a chance to win one of three ultimate RANGER experiences. More than just a contest, this is also a way for Polaris to thank the people that have made their last two decades so successful!

Just last year, the Huntsville, AL manufacturing facility produced the one-millionth RANGER, a tremendous milestone in its own right. Now with the 20th anniversary this year, the Polaris team is reflecting on the company’s rich history, and the amazing success of the RANGER.

“Creating the RANGER was a team effort. Innovation and breaking new ground does not happen without the people on the team—contributing, listening and pushing,” said Mitchell Johnson (son of David Johnson, one of the founders of Polaris). “The culture at Polaris is one full of passion and an overwhelming desire to help people create lasting memories and experiences with our products. We are looking forward to hearing our customers’ stories and learning about how their machine helped them push the envelope or finish an epic project.”

With the company’s commitment to excellence, and the shining reputation of the RANGER family of SxS vehicles, we can expect Polaris to continue to deliver the best in quality and durability, with a smooth ride during even the hardest jobs.

The RANGER sets the standard for utility side-by-sides year after year, and it’s no wonder they’ve remained at the forefront of the industry for 20 years!
