A recent announcement brings about the end of more than five year partnership between ALIAS MX and the GEICO Honda team. At the end of the 2018 Supercross season, ALIAS will begin a period of transition. The ALIAS brand is owned by Mike Grondahl, who is also the co-owner of the GEICO Honda team.
As ALIAS goes through some reorganization, the GEICO Honda team will move to SHIFT MX riding gear for team members as part of a newly announced, multi-year partnership. ALIAS is not going out of business, but circling back to make some changes to the brand, and made the responsible choice to bow out of the longstanding partnership with GEICO Honda.
Most current ALIAS products are now sold out online, with no plans to reissue the existing lines. The company is, however, still processing returns, honoring warranties, and providing customer service.
ALIAS has not announced their plans for the future, only that the brand will be moving in a new direction, and has “plans for something new.”
Fans of the GEICO Honda team will see riders proudly wearing SHIFT MX gear at the beginning of next season!
